Terms of service
Last updated October 13, 2026
These are the rules for using AgentOS Connect, the service on runagentos.com. We've kept them short and in plain words. By making an account or using Connect, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
Who we are
"We" and "us" mean the people who run AgentOS Connect. You can reach us at [email protected]. You must be at least 13 and able to form a binding agreement, and if you're signing up for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
What Connect is
Connect is an optional service that lets your phone and other devices reach an AgentOS machine of yours without a VPN. For each machine you link, it sets up a Cloudflare Tunnel and an address on runagentos.com, keeps the list of your machines and approved devices, and relays optional content-free push notifications to the AgentOS app on your iPhone through Apple.
AgentOS itself, the software you run on your own computer, is open source and is under its own licence, which is the only thing that governs your use of it. These terms don't change that licence, and you don't need Connect to use AgentOS. The AgentOS mobile app is how you reach your machines from your phone; it works with or without Connect, and installing it through Apple's App Store is also subject to Apple's own terms.
How Connect protects your machines, and how you can check that, is on the Security page. That page describes how the service is built today; it isn't a promise that nothing can go wrong.
Your account, your machines
You sign in with an emailed link, a passkey, or GitHub. Keep your email account, passkeys and GitHub account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your Connect account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Your machines and the agents on them are yours, and so is what they do. Connect carries the connection; it doesn't see or control your code, your terminal or your agents, and we aren't responsible for anything an agent does, or anything done through a device you've paired. Approve devices only on the machine itself, and only if they're yours; remove devices you no longer trust under Devices in AgentOS. Using your machines through Connect must stay within the terms of the model providers, hosting and networks you use with them.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Break the law, or use Connect to help someone else do it
- Attack, scan or overload other people's systems, or use your machine to do so through Connect
- Use Connect to host or serve a public website, or to give a machine's address to people you haven't paired
- Get around the plan limits, the monthly traffic allowance, or our rate limits
- Probe, attack or reverse-engineer Connect to get at other people's accounts or data, or interfere with how it runs. Reporting a security problem to us is welcome (see below)
- Resell Connect, or share one account between people who should each have their own
If you break these rules, or your use puts the service or other people at risk, we may limit or suspend your account or your machines' tunnels, with notice where we reasonably can.
Plans, billing and cancelling
Free is $0 and has the limits shown on the pricing page: machines, devices and monthly traffic. Pro is a subscription at $6 a month or $48 a year, with higher limits. Prices and limits can change; a change never takes effect on a subscription mid-period, only from its next renewal, and we'll tell you before it does.
Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card number. Pro renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. Sales tax or VAT is added where it applies. You can switch between monthly and yearly, update your card, download invoices and cancel under Settings, Billing, on Stripe's billing portal.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to Free. Nothing is deleted when that happens: if you have more machines than Free allows, the one connected most recently stays reachable and the others show as offline until you upgrade or disconnect one.
Fees are not refunded, including for a part of a period you didn't use, a renewal you forgot to cancel, or a downgrade; the exceptions are where the law gives you a refund right, or where we charged you in error. If something looks wrong with a charge, write to us and we'll look at it.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while and you keep Pro in the meantime. If it still can't be collected, the subscription ends and the account moves to Free. If you delete your account, any Pro subscription is cancelled at once and not refunded.
Availability and changes
Connect is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but we don't guarantee any uptime, speed or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on other providers, including Cloudflare, Stripe, Apple and the email services we use, whose outages we can't prevent. Because your machines and AgentOS keep working without Connect, plan on being able to reach them another way, for example over your own network or tailnet, if you depend on them.
We may change, add or remove features, or retire the service. If we remove something you've paid for, or shut Connect down, we'll tell you in advance where we reasonably can and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
Your data
What we collect, why, who it's shared with and how to delete it is in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You keep all rights to your code, files and everything your agents produce; we claim none of it, and Connect doesn't store it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your account details and to route and relay the connections and notifications you ask for.
Ending things
You can stop using Connect at any time and delete your account in Settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you don't pay, if the law requires it, or if you've been inactive for a long time, and we'll give notice where we reasonably can. When your account ends, your machines stop being reachable through Connect, and the sections of these terms that by their nature should survive, such as the ones on liability and disputes, do.
Warranties and liability
Connect is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement and uninterrupted or secure operation. We don't promise it will meet your needs or that it is free of faults or security flaws.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, or for anything that happens on your machines or through your agents. Our total liability for anything to do with Connect is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you've paid nothing. Some places don't allow some of these limits; where that's so, they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits anything the law doesn't let us limit.
You'll cover claims, losses and reasonable costs that come from your breaking these terms or the law, or from what you or your agents do with your machines through Connect, to the extent they're caused by you.
Changes, law and contact
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and for a material change we'll also email you or show a notice in your account. Using Connect after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you don't, stop using the service and delete your account before then.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where we are based, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we can't settle by talking goes to the courts of that state, and you and we both consent to them. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any rights your local law gives you that can't be waived.
These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Connect. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term isn't giving it up.
